Notes: Here's
a nice flea market oddity. It's the reel-to-reel (yes, I still
have a functioning reel machine) version with the 3-D cover. There's
been a lot written about this record with most opinions lying in
one of two camps. Either it's a poor attempt at replicating the
Beatles Sgt. Peppers record in content and presentation or it's
just the Stones dipping their toes into the psychedelic stream
that was flowing by. There's a few gems here ("She's a Rainbow" and
'2000 Light Years from Home") and some fool's gold as well.
But, we all bought this one for the cover didn't we? Look closely
at your personal copy and you might even find the Fab Four hidden
amongst the shrubs.
