Notes: Rank and File were largely driven by the writing of the Kinman brothers and the band's ability to give it the right feel. The cowpunk vibe was amended with a bit more of a punk attitude. The young Alejandro Escovedo fit in perfectly and it proved to be just another step in his journey to become the talented songwriter we know and love. A striking front cover and the hand tinted look to the rear cover photos set the tone for a little desert rocking right at sundown.
