| Artist: REM Title: Chronic Town Date: 1982 Label: I.R.S SP 070502 Cover: Curtis Knapp Graphics: Kako N.
Notes: An early (1st?) EP by the boys from Athens. Even on this record their sound was showing signs of being something of their own making. The full sound of the guitar, bass, drums combo and the plaintive voice of Mr. Stipe was enough to get the attention of both the radio listeners and the record companies. Still making their own music nearly 20 years later they've aged, but the haven't gotten older. Each album is fresh while still able to display a bit of the roots that feed the blooms. Check out the Minus 5 to see what Peter is up to in his spare time. And let us not forget the happy little guy on the front cover.
