Notes: Jonathan
tells stories of love and devotion as seen through his unique,
albeit twisted, sentimentality. Clever little ditties, simple instrumentation
provided by his sometimes cohorts The Modern Lovers and
an unabashed penchant for puns and tortured rhymes. Innocent and
childlike at times he seems to be talking to you from his heart
whether it's a song about the animals in the woods, being a mosquito
or of a triumphant return. The cover art has the same feeling of
innocence and hope. It's always fun to put on Jonathan for the
uninitiated and watch the reactions. You either love 'em or hate
'em. We're on the love side of the camp here at the Archives.
