Notes: A
British pressing of an early Al Stewart album. I've always felt
he was a very underrated singer/songwriter. Even when turning in
a cover such as Bob Dylan's I
Don't Believe You he puts his mark
on it. Accompanied by talent such as Rick Wakeman and Brinsley
Schwarz this record Al tells his stories at his own pace. You can
sense that this is a record in transition and the electric guitars
are beginning to mix with their acoustic brethren and the results
are very satisfying. nice front cover photo of Al in a fluffy coat
to ward off the damp. and it's always nice to have the lyrics along
for future reference.
