Notes: This
is one of my all time favorite records, by the Supersuckers or
anyone for that matter. From the sound of the needle hitting the
vinyl at the start of the CD through the pause while the record
is turned over the boys went all the way with this one. A very
mellow (by their standards) and acoustic venture, this set of tunes
will give anybody on the alt-country charts a good run for their
money. The absolutely drop dead gorgeous duet with Kelley Deal
on Hungover Together makes my day each time I hear it. I
suspect there's a bit of a story behind The Captain and
I'd love to know who he is. And for those missing the grit and
bite of the boys in full flight theres a small piece of electric
mayhem at the end of Hangliders. Just a stellar effort from
the cover art down to the last notes ringing out from the speakers.
Honest, pure, simple. Thanks boys.
