| Artist: Synergy Title: Cords Date: 1978 Label: Passport Records PB 6000 Cover By: Hipgnosis
Notes: A clear vinyl record containing true electronic music in its grooves. And with the advent of the guitar synthesizer prototype it's the first time they were able to include the old wood 'n wires in the mix. A little more human sounding than the burbles and beeps of Tomita, Synergy is music for your aural environment. Larry thanks the likes of Peter Gabriel (titles) and Robert Fripp (education in tape loops techniques) to give you an idea as to just whom he's been hanging with and absorbing ideas from. Maybe this isn't a strong a record as the earlier Synergy releases, but it's still a worthy investment. A touch of Tangerine Dream and a smattering of Tomita and Dick Hayman as well. Interesting black and white photography for both the inner and outer covers as well as the aforementioned clear vinyl makes this a worthwhile addition to the archives.
