Artist:  Shel Silverstein

Title:  Where the Sidewalk Ends - Recited, Sung and Shouted by Shel Silverstein

Date:  1984

LabelCBS Records   FC 39412

Jacket Design:  Len Willie

Album Design:  Kim Llewellyn

Photography:  Alice Ochs

Line Up:

Shel Silverstein - voice, guitar
Dan Huff - synthesizer
Farrell Morris - percussion

Notes:  Talking and telling stories and yelping and just generally making a fuss Shel is unique man. Here he recites his poems and seems generally full of glee as he does so. As imposing a figure as he can be, this record gives us a feel of what it must be like to sit with Shel on his houseboat, looking at the San Francisco skyline and listening to the words bring the strange ideas to life. The cover art goes hand-in-hand with the whole texture of the piece. Fun for odd little kiddies of all ages.
