Notes: Although
this live recording lacks any of the poorly spelt hits from their studio
efforts ("Gudbye Ta Jane" or "Mama, We're All Crazee Now") it can still
stand in with the best of live music of the era. Opening with a cover of
Alvin Lee and closing with the well known Steppenwolf
anthem "Born to Be Wild" the fans got their money's worth on this
particular night. If you're not familiar with the boys, they were
glitter wearing, pub rocking, gravel voiced loonies and they proceeded
to bring their British selves to the states to amuse, amaze and annoy
any who felt up for it. Nice cover graphics both in and out. The album
sleeve was shot at the Marquee Club in London. |
