| Artist: Sally Timms and the Drifting Cowgirls Title: Somebody's Rocking My Dreamboat Date: 1988 Label: TIM Records MOT LP021 Cover Painting by: Emma Bolland Artwork by: 13 Limms
Notes: This is another hard to find item that is definitely worth the search. With a set of tunes penned by Timms and Langford, the sole exception being the excellent cover of the Dolly Parton classic "Down from Dover", it's just a shame more people don't have access to this record. Sally is in fine voice and her phrasing and depth make this a joy from start to finish. Of course when you're surrounded by one class act after another it's hard to mess up, but every parade needs a Grand Marshall and Sally's voice hoists the baton here. From her punk roots to her cowboy leanings you can never go wrong with Sally. The cover painting by Ms. Bolland has a feel of mystery about it, in its muted tones and energetic composition. If you can find it buy it or at least borrow it for a fortnight.
