Notes: Consisting
of material from the garages and wiggler bars from across America,
this record swings, howls and growls. Not content to rehash worn
cover tunes and oldies groups the producers of this LP have brought
us new blood. There are a few familiar faces here (Andre Williams,
The Jaguars), but most of the bands are foreign to these well traveled
ears. Fun stuff it is, too. Next time you're out in the garage
wrenchin' that old beast back into road worthiness drop the needle
down on this one. Or if your party is getting loose and relaxed,
flip the switch on this baby and you'll be seeing a renewed sense
of vigor and dancing like you couldn't imagine. And the cover art
is from the mighty pen of none other than Daniel Clowes, he of
Ghost World fame and, I hope, well deserved fortune. Look for his
Eightball comics wherever can find fine independent comics in your
town. Bartender, another round and some singles please.
