Title:  When the Boys Meet the Girls

Date:  1965

Label:  MGM Records  (E-4334)

Notes:  This is the original soundtrack album of the MGM film. It was a different world back then. This album gives us some rockin' tunes, some of Satchmo' tearing down the house and then a toned down whitebread version of the same tune. Toss in Liberace in a gold-sequined jacket, and Herman's Hermits doing a Gershwin tune and you've got nice mix of the weird and the wonderful. The cover is adorned with a few pictures of the bands and Connie and Harve getting close. Who is Harve Presnell anyway?

Line Up:

Connie Francis
Harve Presnell
Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs
Liberace
Louis Armstrong
and also starring:
Herman's Hermits
