Artist:  Tom Verlaine

Title:  Dreamtime

Date:  1981

Label Warner Brothers BSK 3539

Design: George Delmerico

Photography: James Hamilton

Notes:  After Television had run its course Tom continued on as a solo artist and did not disappoint. This, his second solo release, is full of what you would expect in the way of guitar textures and vocal asisdes. Songwriting is sharp and you get the bonus of bass provided by Fred "Sonic" Smith. I inderstand that Verlaine can be an acquired taste for the uninitiated, but this is a good a place as any to hop aboard and start the journey. B&W covers suit the mood very well.
