| Artist: The Ventures Title: Guitar Freakout Date: 1967 Label: Dolton Records BLP-2050 (Mono) Art Direction: Woody Woodward Cover Photography: George Jerman
Notes: More of the Mosrite guitar driven music that made the Ventures a household name. This time out they cover The Monkees covering Neil Diamond, a Holland-Dozier-Holland tune and a handful of originals. I don't know if I can truly say I was freaked out by this record, but then again I didn't rush to take it off of the turntable either. Typical Ventures wearing their most fun guise. Nice sixties feel to the cover photo with its reflections and colors.
If anyone has any additional information pertaining to the album or players you can send an E-mail to Tralfaz. Thanks. |
