Notes: After
the Twist faded away the record companies tried to capture "the
next big thing". Well, the Mashed Potato was Dolton's stab
at it and The Ventures were just the guys to do it. The music runs
from bad potato puns (Spud-nik) to the Hully Gully (Baby) and is
executed in typical instrumental surf fashion. A very strange cover
indeed. Mr. and Mrs. Potato-Head (I assume) are cutting the rug
to the tunes of their favorite combo. And remeber kids, "Although
this album is specially designed fot the Mashed Potatoes, the tempos
are great for many current popular dances".
