Notes: The
first album from the Captain is a blend of hard rock bumping against
a little prog influence and jazz timing. Band members had played
with the likes of Deep
Purple, Johnny Winter and Iron
Butterfly. A sufficiently strong base to build upon one
might say. All instruments hold their own and end result is a strong
performance that still sounds good today. Another band that seems
like it should have garnered more attention than it did. I know
it was a big hit with my crowd back in junior high. The front cover
has a faux 3-D, lenticular (I believe) picture attached to the
front cover. Nice touch. Wort searching out on CD.
This album is dedicated to the memory of Duane Allman |
