Notes: I
found this one in a used record shop in England. Although many
people don't recognize the name, J. J. Cale has written many of
their favorite tunes. "Call Me the Breeze" and "After
Midnight" can still be heard daily on the classic rock wavelength
cast across this land. And the rest of the record is brilliant
as well. His playing and his voice carry the tunes and tell the
stories as he rambles through the peoples lives and visits their
special places. Although the copy I have shows a release
date of 1983 these sessions were recorded in 1970/1971. The cover
painting has a nice "down-home" country feel to it that
carries through to the music inside. Among those receiving thanks
on the cover are Carl Radle (bass) and Leon Russell.
