Coming from Manchester, UK Peter Noone, Keith Hopwood, Derek "Lek" Leckenby, Karl Green and Barry Whitwamthe banded together and the Hermits were born. The boys managed to score with a string of hit singles from the mid-sixties through the early seventies. Although known more for their pop or novelty songs each record holds one or two more inventive numbers and overall the musicianship is strong and carries itself well. As Herman, Peter Noone was the front man and focal point of the group. He continues in the business to this day and you may get a chance to hear him at a summer festival or beach boardwalk from time to time.
