The Music of Al Kooper

Notes: Al Kooper should be familiar to anyone who who grew uo listening to music in the 60s, 70s and beyond. A producer, writer, arranger, player, singer and on and on. Wether in front of the microphone, behind the keyboards or operating the recording studio Al is a master. From his work with Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Green on Red, BS&T and so on the man has a marvelous set of ears and he seems to get the artist to step up to the task at hand. At least pick up a copy of the Supersessions LP featuring the work of Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper and Stephen Stills. Kooper and Bloomfield alone can fill a volume on rock and blues and the meldng of the two. Thanks Al.
